The colors are essential elements for web design. You can have a site has an attractive appearance to the eye. When choosing the design of our website is very important to note that we use the colors as they can greatly influence and our site visitors. The choice of colors has a different effect on each person and that is why we must think carefully before choosing the color that we use. Each color has a meaning and it relates the psychology of color.

Different colors affect mood and state of the human mind. It may be that we are not fully aware of this, but the colors play a vital role in transmitting the message to the readers.

1. Red

The color red is considered the hottest color and dynamic. It evokes strong emotions and that is why it is associated with love, passion and even anger. It is an intense color, which can show the feelings of sexuality, strength, determination, courage and enthusiasm. Simultaneously, warmth and comfort. Also used to warn people and show danger.

For web design it is best used little choosing other colors like white and silver combined with red or you can use the color red to emphasize the most important elements of the website.

2. Orange

The orange color shows the comfort, creativity, celebration, fun, youth, and affordability. It is vibrant and energetic with a friendly atmosphere. There is a color like red so overwhelming.

We can use the color orange for sites that transmit energy to promote food and snacks. It is also an ideal color if we capture a young audience.

3. Yellow

Yellow is the brightest color. Represents curiosity, joy, fun, comfort, liveliness, intelligence, happiness, energy is a striking color and causes us to feel excited to see. It is ideal for all business whose target audience is children and giving impression of joy, happiness and friendship. If we want a vintage touch is advisable to use dark shades of yellow.

4. Green Color

The green color is associated with money, nature, animals, health, healing, life, harmony, durability, reliability, safety, honesty, optimism and freshness. It is used to relieve stress and have that calming effect that will surely make you feel relaxed. It is also said that green can help you learn new things more easily. We can use it to show the balance and harmony in our website. Dark colors can show stability.

5. Blue
The blue color is associated with trustworthiness, success, seriousness, calmness, power, professionalism, depth, stability, loyalty, reliability, honor and confidence. It is a cool color that gives a cool and calm effect. Lighter shades can be used for websites that show friendship. Dark colors are more appropriate for the design of business.

6. Lilac or purple

The purple color indicates royalty, justice, ambiguity, uncertainty, luxury, fantasy, dreams, power, nobility, mystery, elegance and magic. We can use lighter shades and soft to websites related to spring and romance. Dark colors can be used for designs that have to do with wealth and luxury.

7. Pink

The color pink represents the softness, sweetness, innocence, youthfulness, tenderness and femininity. Is usually associated with women, but not always. The pink color makes us think in chewing gum and other sweets.

When used for web design can be applied to all websites that want to make an impact relaxing, gentle, cheerful and sweet. Dark colors can also be used for more serious websites.

8. Gray Color

The gray color is associated with conservatism, traditionalism, intelligence, reliability, neutrality and indifference. Usually used as background to emphasize some elements on the site. There are times when it is used subtly, but there are also cases in which it is used for the entire website making it look monochromatic.

9. Brown

The brown color is relaxing, safe, casual and reassuring. It is associated with nature, and some tribal and primitive things. Can be relaxed when used in the design. We can use different shades of brown for our website. Like the gray, we can use as background or for certain areas of the website.

10. Black and White

They are neutral colors widely used in all websites. The black shows elegance, sophistication, formality, strength and mystery. The target sample cleanliness, purity, newness, virginity, peace, innocence and simplicity. Most times we use in our designs two colors for fonts and types.

The color is really important not only to add beauty to the website but also to give the right message and the perception of visitors.
